    STEP ONE: Interpret the information obtained from creative questions you asked yourself and others

    A very practical first step is to categorize all the feedback you have received. A great way to identify patterns and themes is to group similar ideas and responses together. This will enable you to obtain a clearer understanding of what your stakeholders and customers are communicating.

Let your customers and stakeholders know how you have made good application of their feedback and continue to interact with them so as to assure them that your business is determined to meet their needs and expectations.

    STEP TWO: Use your problem-solving skills to create the perfect offering for your clients

    Foremost, after obtaining the relevant and comprehensive feedback, use it to identify the specific problems or pain points your target customer base is experiencing. Ask yourself the following questions: What are the primary issues confronting my potential customers? What are the most common complaints or challenges they are currently encountering? Once you know the problem, you are better equipped to work toward the solution.

    You can implement your problem-solving skills to brainstorm possible solutions to the identified obstacles. This means you need to think creatively and consider all potential options, no matter how offbeat or outlandish they may seem. Review the methods you can use to deal with the obstacles in a way that differentiates you from the competition.

    Once you have done so, you will need to test these potential solutions with your customers. This could involve creating a prototype, conducting a focus group, or launching a pilot program. Gather feedback to determine the effectiveness of those solutions and then gather further feedback in order to refine your offering. This process will help you not only to create a product or service that meets your client’s needs, but exceeds their expectations too.

    STEP THREE: Combine creative questioning and problem-solving skills to come up with creative answers

    As an up-and-coming entrepreneur, always endeavour to think outside of the box. One of the ways you could do this is to use divergent thinking. This problem-solving technique allows you to generate as many ideas as you can with the goal of providing a solution to a problem or question. Ask yourself open-ended questions like “How might the business…?” or “What if?” and then brainstorm as many ideas as possible without judging their quality. Once you have many ideas on paper, you can then use convergent thinking to evaluate and refine the best ones.

    Try to look at the problem or questions from a new angle—how might another entrepreneur approach the same issue? Analogies or metaphors can even help you to think of the problem in a fresh way. Alternatively, look into design thinking for a human-centred approach to problem-solving. It involves understanding the needs and desires of your customers, generating ideas, prototyping, and testing solutions, and iterating until you have created a solution that meets their needs. This approach can be particularly useful when you are trying to create a product or service that is highly customer-focused.

    Why not organize a hackathon for your team? These events bring together groups to collaborate in order to solve a problem or answer a question. These events can be a great way to combine the problem-solving skills of a diverse group of people with the creative questioning skills of a facilitator. For example, you could organize a hackathon to come up with new ideas for a product or service, or to solve a particular business challenge that you are facing.

I am a serial entrepreneur and I have been vegetarian for 14 years now. In a nutshell, I start businesses, grow them and retain some ownership before decelerating from all the operational duties involved.

In addition, I am a complete lover of nature. I turned vegetarian at 18 years old. And my mother introduced me to hiking in my teenage years. So, I take random walks in the bushes every now and then. It definitely helps with decision-making in business, too. But it is not all that I am. I am also an aspiring father, husband and Vegan. Did I mention I am Christian?
